Well every once in a while, I will give you some good, real news to go along with my fluff stuff! So today I have a story on a girl by the name of  Michelle Kosilek, who is a transsexual male inmate undergoing hormone and hair removal treatment to become a woman. He is in jail for killing his wife at the time in 1990. He maintains it was self defense after she poured boiling tea on his genitals.

He won a court order to have treatment started, but stopping short of ordering a sex change, while in prison. But now he says they have stopped the treatment while the courts review his case. He claims he has not been able to continue his hormone treatments and hair removal for months. As a result he is seeing signs of his steps toward being a woman reversing.

So now he is suing again to have it move forward and complete his sex change. Sooo, who is right, who is wrong? Is he a horrible murderer, or victim? Even if he did murder his wife with foresight,  is it cruel and unusual to withhold treatment? It seems to me they should have figured this all out before allowing him to start the treatments. Porn and transgenders / crossdressers, wow what a touchie subject! Lots of sides to this coin, lots of different opinions. So I thought I’d stir the pot a little and add my 2 cents, so pay attention! Now, porn has always been with us, always will be. Every type of race, gender, sex and yes all types of transgenders have porn made about them. Now, how do most transgenders feel about all this? Ask 10 of them and you’ll get 10 different answers. I think most transsexuals that are trying to fight for their rights and dignity look at the adult Ladyboy/shemale/tranny industry with disgust and dread. What’s up my transgender sisters? Well from the picture above some of you have a few questions for your little Bilinda. You see, this site has “A transgender community for transsexuals, cross dressers & transvestites” as the title. Ok, fine. But, some of you have pointed out that, at 2 months or so old, I have had only around 2 or 3 post about transsexuals.

So what gives, is Bilinda anti-transsexual or something? No no, nothing like that. Put those pitch forks away, your going to make a run in my stockings! When I set out to make this site, I wanted it to be a site so all transgenders would feel at home here. Now, that term is so damn broad I thought “where do I draw a line about what I write about”? I mean, gays can also be lumped under that term, and then we have the whole spectrum of Androgyne, intersex, bi and so on.

I identify myself as a crossdresser, followed closely by transvestite, with a twist of this and that, all wrapped up in silk bows and nylon, wweeeeeee! The term transsexual, to myself and most people I think, is most closely associated with being a transgender. In fact there has been many heated post about how a lot of transsexuals feel only they should be regarded as transgender, and the others as “just” a crossdresser or whatever. Well girls, it’s only two days into the new year and I am reading about some more name calling dealing with the word Transgender. Some girls are just SO pissed about being called transgender, or about others who they think should not be called that. From what I understand, most girls who could be called transgender, cross dresser, transvestite or transsexual really don’t give a damn if they are ever called that or not. They just don’t CARE!

But of course, like anything else, we always have that small but very vocal group that want to micro-manage everything, including who should be called what, and make sure they are called what they decide they should be called (huh?). A lot of transsexuals, or maybe just a minority of vocal ones, think that only they, TRUE transsexuals, should be called transgender.

I suppose any label we try to make that covers such a wide and different group is going to piss a lot off. Then we have those that identify themselves as cross dresser or transvestite and hate to be included in with the transgender label. I agree it can get confusing, I just don’t know why so many get so angry. I myself think the whole thing is funny, which of course will just make the ones pissed off even more so! Well I had a better day today then I did yesterday. If you read my last post I was having a pissy fit day! Nothing was going right. Oh well, today is better. Nothing stays the same, good or bad.

Three weeks ago I started a 3 part post on transgender labels. Today is the last, but not least, of the labels I will discuss, Transsexuals. Now then, like all the other labels we have a lot of gray area, with different people having different takes on all the labels. This is MY take, no more no less.

A person who is a Transsexual is basically a person born in the wrong body. Think about it, when you were growing up, no one had to tell you “hey Tommy, just so you know, your a boy, so your suppose to like girls, ok”. I know I never had to be told that. (I like guys too, but that’s another post!)

So that means in most cases boys are born with the gene, instinct, or whatever you want to call it, to like girls, and vise versa. Now then, sometimes, just like when someone is born with being left handed, or any number of other things, a boy or girl is born with the “wrong” instinct. Continue reading this post…
