So how is your weekend going? Having fun, sleeping in, going out maybe? Or maybe your like me, working! When you work at home one day is just like the next. There is always two sides to the coin. On the one hand, you can get up later, dress in whatever you want and don’t have to put up with people you don’t like. Of course you also don’t have to drive to work, which more and more is getting to be very expensive and time consuming.

On the other hand, everybody thinks they can bother you anytime and it’s hard to stay focused on your work. I write post for people, as well as write this blog, plus I’m starting on some others. I myself love to work from home, but some just can’t get the hang of it. If you have no discipline to focus on work you’ll never get anything done. Your always thinking “well I really need to mow the lawn, I have laundry to do, maybe I should do those dishes before doing any more work”!

I wonder how many of you readers blog? There are lots of places you can blog, using lots of programs. I like wordpress. I have my own domain name and my own hosting, but lots of people use other stuff. Myspace, Yahoo, Google, heck tons of places offer free blogs you can make. Of course the difference is, are you just doing it for a hobby, or to make money?

If your blogging as a hobby than any program is fine. But if your really doing it as a business then getting your own domain, hosting and blogging software is the only way to go. A lot of people use Joomla, but I find wordpress easier to use. Not that it does not have it’s problems. I have gotten very frustrated with making plugins and extra stuff work on it.

The colors on this blog theme was blue, I went into the code and changed it all. Then I found out a lot of plugins did not work, I just got a poll plugin a few weeks ago to work on this blog. But all in all it’s been fine. Have you ever wondered how much people make on a blog? Yeah me too! Well, some of the really big blogs, or popular ones, make around,,,, $50,000 or more a,,,, month!

But, most of them just do ok, or make almost nothing. Gee, I wonder where I fit in there! Making any kind of good money takes a lot of effort, time and you need to learn a lot. Also, you have to know how to write. I see so many bad blogs because the person writes like a child. “how you all, today I write bout vidao that has music in it. It’s da real deal, you check it out cause you like it no? Ahh,,,, NO!

Anyway my friend Ashley finally asked me to help her get her own blog going. So I got her setup, helped her make a nice banner and so on. She is a lesbian, of course, and she has always had an interest in religion. So, her domain name she got is alesbiansfaith.com. She is very new to blogging, so it will take her time to get going. She wants to do it as a hobby and interest, if she makes money off it down the road that will be extra.

So go check it out and see what you think. Maybe you can get some ideas from it. The header banner, that baby was MY idea, I love the sunburst over the rainbow. I guess I’ll be having her on my ass, asking me lots of questions the next few weeks. Oh well, maybe I can make a deal with her,,,, just kidding Kelly!!!
